To convert your unused airtime to cash, start by signing up (new users) or signing in (existing users) on the AirtimeFlip app or website, then follow the instructions below:

2. Choose your preferred network, enter the airtime amount and other details required
3. Transfers airtime to the provided number manually or through otp for auto airtime conversion
4. Airtime transfer is verified
5. Select subscription package/plan.

7. User receives wallet credit and proceeds to withdraw cash into their primary bank account

There are currently no commercial Nigerian banks that allow you to convert airtime to cash, but specialised fintech platforms like AirtimeFlip support instant airtime conversion.

We convert all networks with no exceptions. MTN, Airtel, Glo and t2mobile (formerly 9mobile). However, if at a certain time a certain network is unavailable on our platform, it is due to a network downtime, and we advise that you check back within 24 to 48 hours or reach out to us.

For instant conversions, you need to have your share PIN to be able to transfer your airtime for conversion on our platform.

Your Airtime Share PIN is your airtime transfer PIN. Contact your network provider by dialling 300 or *321# to set up your PIN. Learn more about how to set or reset your airtime transfer PIN.

The number of shares is how many times you want the stated amount of airtime to be transferred via our instant conversion service.

Example: To convert ₦20,000 airtime, the number of shares will be two (2), meaning you will share ₦10,000 twice.

We don't offer the service of converting MTN to Airtel. You can only convert your excess airtime with us, then use the money credited in your wallet to buy Airtel airtime through our airtime purchase services.

No, we don’t use special codes to convert airtime to cash to your bank account. Everything happens through our mobile app (Android and iOS) or website, where you can choose between automated or manual conversion. Once we receive your airtime, we verify the transaction and send the payment to your AirtimeFlip wallet immediately.

With Instant Airtime to Cash, airtime is automatically deducted after entering an OTP received, while with Manual Airtime to Cash, airtime is sent manually to the number provided by AirtimeFlip. Essentially, Instant Airtime to Cash is automated, while Manual Airtime to Cash is processed manually.

After a successful airtime conversion, your wallet will be credited automatically. To set a default bank for withdrawals:

• Ensure your account has been upgraded to KYC Level 3.
• Navigate to Settings.
• Select Bank Settings.
• Tap on Add Default Bank and follow the prompts to complete the process.

No, we do not. We accept airtime transfers only.

No, we do not accept VTU.

No, you can't convert borrowed airtime with us. You can only convert the excess airtime you mistakenly purchased.

Yes, but only if you use the ‘Instant Airtime to Cash’ option. The airtime will be removed automatically once you enter the OTP we send you. After a quick verification, the amount is deducted and processed.

If you do not want the airtime removed automatically, then use the ‘Manual Airtime to Cash’ option. Sending the airtime manually to the designated number shows your consent to the transaction about to take place and reduces fraudulent transactions.

No, we do not accept bonus airtime as it is not transferable to a third party. Only the main airtime balance can be converted to cash.

AirtimeFlip does not have a fixed rate for airtime to cash conversion. Rates on all networks are subject to change. However, we will always offer the cheapest rates in the market at any point in time.

Since payments are now automated, customers only need to withdraw from their wallet.

Yes, there is. All payments start from 9 am to 10 pm from Monday to Saturday and 11 am to 9 pm on Sundays and Public holidays.

If you are experiencing difficulties withdrawing cash from your AirtimeFlip wallet, please report to any of our customer care agents immediately. Be aware that bank network or server delays can slow down your withdrawal process.

After your airtime is received and your transaction confirmed, you can be credited between 5 to 30 minutes.

Your airtime has not been received yet, and this may be because of a network delay or downtime. For a quick resolution, kindly contact our customer care agent with details of the transaction, and we will have it resolved as quickly as possible.

The details needed include: Network converted, amount, order ID, number transferred from and number transferred to, date and time of transaction, account email address, along with a screenshot of confirmation of the transaction from your network provider.

If you have submitted all details of the unpaid transaction to a customer care agent, please wait 12 hours before launching a new complaint, as we will be working as quickly as possible to have you credited for your successful transaction.

No, we don’t. We will do well to pay you for all and any airtime converted with our platform as long as proof of the said transaction is available.

Withdrawals are instant. Once you initiate a withdrawal from your wallet, the funds are typically credited to your bank account in under 60 seconds.
