These FAQs handle all account and security issues (across all services).
1. What should I do if I forgot my password?
Click on “Forgot Password” on the login page. Enter your registered email or username, request OTP and follow the reset instructions sent to your email.
2. I want to edit my name on the profile. Is it possible?
Note that once you sign up, you can't edit your name. For security purposes, the edit feature isn't available.
3. How do I verify my account?
Go to your AirtimeFlip profile dashboard and complete the required verification steps. You may need to provide details like NIN or BVN, depending on your KYC level.
4. Is my BVN safe after submitting it for verification?
Yes, your BVN is safe. Kindly note it's only used for verification purposes. It doesn't give us access to your bank accounts.
5. Why is my account restricted?
Your account with us may be restricted for:
- Suspicious activity
- Incomplete verification
- Violation of platform policies
6. How do I delete my account?
Sign in to your AirtimeFlip dashboard, then navigate to ‘Settings’, under ‘Settings’, select ‘Security’ and scroll to ‘Delete Account’ to delete your account and all associated details.
Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
7. I mistakenly deleted my account. Can I recover it?
Once you’ve deleted your AirtimeFlip account, it can’t be restored. You’ll need to create a new account.
8. Is my data (NIN and BVN) safe?
Yes. AirtimeFlip uses secure encryption and compliance standards to protect your personal data. Your information is never shared with unauthorised third parties.

9. Is AirtimeFlip available in other countries?
Currently, AirtimeFlip is available only in Nigeria
10. Can I use the app since I reside in South Africa?
We don't operate in South Africa. We are only available in Nigeria.
11. What account types are there, and what are the associated transaction limits?
There are three account levels on AirtimeFlip, and below are the transaction limits:
Level 1 Account Limit:
- Daily limit: ₦50,000
- Airtime top-up daily limit: ₦100,000
- Betting daily limit: ₦100,000
- Weekly limit: ₦200,000
- Monthly limit: ₦600,000
- Daily limit: ₦200,000
- Airtime top-up daily limit: ₦100,000
- Betting daily limit: ₦100,000
- Weekly limit: ₦1,000,000
- Monthly limit: ₦3,000,000
- Daily limit: ₦20,000,000

12. How can I upgrade to KYC Level 2 or 3?
Sign in, then go to your account ‘Settings’ and submit the required documents:

13. Who is an account manager?
An account manager is your dedicated point of contact for managing your account and resolving complaints. We assign one to every customer automatically, so you always have someone to talk to. You can reach yours directly via WhatsApp, email, or phone whenever you need a hand.
14. Can I request an account manager?
No, you can’t. An account manager will be automatically assigned when you create your AirttimeFlip account.
15. How do I find my account manager's contact details?
To find your account manager's contact details, log into your AirtimeFlip account and follow these steps:
- On the side panel.
- Select Get Help/FAQs.
- View your account manager's name, email and phone number on the screen.
16. Why should I contact my account manager for assistance?
It’s much better to have one person who actually knows you. Unlike a chatbot, where you might meet a new agent every time, your account manager is your permanent go-to. They know your history, so you can just check in or follow up with the same person via WhatsApp, call, or email without ever having to repeat yourself.
17. How do I get my discount code?
Discount codes are shared through promotions, email newsletters, and social media campaigns when available. Stay connected so you don’t miss out.
18. How do I add a primary bank account?
Navigate to your wallet or profile settings. Navigate to the ‘Bank Information’ tab, then select ‘Add Bank Account’, enter the bank name and account number to set it as your primary withdrawal account.
19. How much do I earn from referrals?
You can earn up to ₦500 on every referral when your friend tops up their account and pays a bill on AirtimeFlip.
Sign in to your dashboard to get started, navigate to the ‘Referrals’ tab, then copy the referral code/link and send it to your friend. When they register through your referral link and pay a bill on AirtimeFlip, you get ₦500 instantly.
20. Do I need a referral code before I sign up?
No, you can sign up without the referral code. It's optional.
21. How do I get feedback on a complaint I submitted?
You’ll receive updates via email, chat, or phone calls. You can also follow up with your ticket ID via support.
